Join the Pathfinder Family

Pathfinder Comprehensive School welcomes applications from all students who are eager to learn, grow, and excel. We admit students into Form 1 through Upper Sixth in both our General Education and Commercial Education streams.

Admission Requirements

A. Form 1 Admission (Entry Level)

To be admitted into Form 1, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Age: The student should be at least 10 years old and not more than 14 years old at the time of admission.
  2. Academic Qualification: The student must have successfully completed primary school and obtained a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) or its equivalent.
  3. Entrance Examination: Prospective Form 1 students may be required to sit for an entrance examination or aptitude test administered by the school to assess their readiness for secondary education.
  4. Required Documents:
    • Completed admission application form
    • Original and photocopy of the First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)
    • Original and photocopy of the student’s birth certificate
    • Four (4) recent passport-sized photographs
    • Previous school report cards (last 2 years)
    • Medical certificate of fitness
    • Parent/Guardian identification document

B. Admission into Other Forms (Form 2 – Form 5)

Students seeking admission into Forms 2 through 5 (transfer students) must meet the following requirements:

  1. Academic Records: The student must present report cards and academic transcripts from their previous school.
  2. Transfer Letter: A letter of transfer or attestation from the student’s previous school.
  3. Proof of Level: Evidence that the student has completed the class immediately below the one they are seeking admission into.
  4. Entrance Assessment: The student may be required to take an assessment test to determine their academic level.
  5. Required Documents:
    • Completed admission application form
    • Report cards from previous school
    • Transfer letter from previous school
    • Birth certificate (original and photocopy)
    • Four (4) passport-sized photographs
    • Medical certificate of fitness

C. Lower Sixth Admission (A/Level Entry)

Students seeking admission into Lower Sixth must meet the following requirements:

  1. GCE Ordinary Level Results: The student must have obtained at least four (4) GCE Ordinary Level passes, including English Language and Mathematics (or the required combination for their chosen stream).
  2. Subject Combination: The student must choose a subject combination offered by the school in either the General or Commercial Education stream.
  3. Required Documents:
    • Completed admission application form
    • Original and photocopy of GCE O/Level results
    • Birth certificate (original and photocopy)
    • Four (4) passport-sized photographs
    • Previous school report cards
    • Medical certificate of fitness

Admission Procedure

  1. Obtain an Application Form: Application forms can be obtained from the school’s administrative office in Pinyin or downloaded from our website (if available).
  2. Complete the Application Form: Fill in all required information accurately and completely.
  3. Submit the Application: Submit the completed form along with all required documents to the school’s administrative office.
  4. Entrance Test/Assessment (if applicable): Attend any scheduled entrance examination or assessment.
  5. Admission Decision: The school administration will review the application and communicate the admission decision to the applicant.
  6. Payment of Fees: Upon acceptance, parents/guardians are required to pay the prescribed school fees and collect the student’s admission letter.
  7. Resumption: The admitted student should report to school on the designated resumption date with all required materials, including school uniforms, textbooks, and personal items.
