Academic and Extracurricular Programmes at Pathfinder Comprehensive School
At Pathfinder Comprehensive School, we offer a rich blend of academic and extracurricular programmes designed to develop the whole student — intellectually, socially, physically, and morally.
1. ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES
A. General Education Programme (Form 1 – Upper Sixth)
Our General Education Programme provides a broad-based curriculum covering the sciences, arts, and humanities. Students in this programme are prepared for the GCE Ordinary Level (Form 5) and GCE Advanced Level (Upper Sixth) examinations.

Our Commercial Education Programme is tailored for students with an interest in business and commerce. The curriculum includes business-oriented subjects that prepare students for careers in accounting, banking, business management, entrepreneurship, and more.

2. GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING PROGRAMME
We provide a dedicated guidance and counseling programme to support students in the following areas:
- Academic Guidance: Helping students choose the right subjects and study strategies.
- Career Counseling: Assisting students in identifying their career interests and mapping out pathways to achieve their goals.
- Personal Counseling: Providing emotional and psychological support to students dealing with personal, social, or family challenges.
- University and Higher Education Guidance: Helping Upper Sixth students with university applications, entrance exam preparation, and scholarship opportunities.
3. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

- Red Cross Club: Teaches first aid, health awareness, and humanitarian values.

C. Cultural and Social Events
- Cultural Day / Cultural Week: An annual celebration of cultural diversity featuring traditional dances, songs, fashion, and food.
- Speech and Prize-Giving Day: An end-of-year ceremony to recognize and reward academic excellence, good conduct, and achievements in extracurricular activities.
- Founder’s Day: A special day to celebrate the founding of the school and honor the vision of the Proprietor.
- National Day Celebrations: Participation in Youth Day (February 11), National Day (May 20), and other national events.
4. MORAL AND CIVIC EDUCATION PROGRAMME
In line with our commitment to character development, we integrate moral and civic education into our school life:

5. EXAMINATION PREPARATION PROGRAMME
We take examination preparation seriously. Our dedicated programme includes:
- Revision Classes: Intensive revision sessions in the weeks leading up to GCE examinations.
- Mock Examinations: Full-scale practice exams conducted under examination conditions to give students a realistic exam experience.
- Past Paper Workshops: Teachers guide students through past GCE examination papers, highlighting common questions, marking schemes, and exam techniques.

6. PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION (PTA) PROGRAMME
The PTA is an integral part of our school community. We hold regular PTA meetings to:
